This blog is intended as a space for me to document, chart and muse on my research project in Second Life.
I’ve got a Research and Teaching Award from the Centre for Distance Education to conduct an investigation into the affordances for distance learning offered by Second Life (or similar multiuser 3D online worlds).
I’ll use this as a diary of progress; developments, doubts, euraka moments and general reflections. I want to keep this as messy as my thoughts are, as I try to bludgeon this clay into some sort of emerging shape, so I’ll try to stick to the Beat dictat: “First thought = best thought”, rather than essay public- and publication-ready material.
I hope it is useful to anyone who strays this way…
